Submersible pumps such as bilge pumps are generally used to remove water from the bilges of boats. As there can often be fuel present in the water electric bilge pumps are designed not to spark so as not to ignite any fuel that may be present.
Many bilge pumps are fitted with automatic switches that turn the pump on when the bilge water reaches a certain level. A primary pump is normally located at the lowest point of the bilge, with a secondary pump mounted a little higher. It’s generally recommended to have a secondary bilge to pick up the slack if the first pump is overwhelmed.
At Vernon Morris we supply a wide range of pumps including the Whale 1300, the Rule 500, the Thames Pump and the POWEPACK 2.
Our Whale 1300 Submersible Bilge Pump is both compact and powerful. The pump is high performance, easy to install and meets marine standard.
The pump has a low amp draw which equates to a long battery life. The pump is easy to maintain with easy access to the motor cartridge and filter area.
Our Thames Pumps come complete with hose, container cover, hose connector and storage clip. They are self priming and quiet in operation. The pump fits both Crystal filter housing and Mk2 winter conversion housing.
